Established in 2019
Petra Wassaif Camp was established in 2019 with a simple purpose: to share the beauty, peace and hospitality of Petra in a way that feels personal and genuine. From the beginning, the camp was created to help travellers experience the desert not just as visitors, but as welcomed guests.
Since then we have welcomed travellers from around the world who come to rest after exploring Petra, to connect with local culture and to watch the sun go down over the hills. With each guest we continue to grow while staying true to what matters most: warm hospitality, comfort and a real connection to Petra’s spirit.

To give every guest a peaceful and authentic Petra experience through warm hospitality, beautiful sunset views and meaningful moments in nature. We exist to help people slow down, feel welcome and leave with memories that last a lifetime.

Life at the camp
Everything you need, nothing you don’t
We offer our services based on hospitality, professionalism and care for every guest.
Rooms & lobby
All rooms are en-suite, from king-size to twin and triple. The general lobby is a place to relax to music with a drink, with a fireplace to keep you warm in winter.
Food & drink
A complimentary breakfast buffet starts each day. In the evening the restaurant serves a dinner buffet of traditional food, and vegetarian and vegan meals are available. We use locally sourced food and drink.
Hospitality
Reception is open 24 hours and our team speaks Arabic and English. Towels and shampoo are provided, and we can store your bags and help arrange a doctor on call if needed.
Evenings together
Sit by the fire, share Bedouin tea, or settle in for a game of chess, Scrabble or ludo in the lobby.
Practical comforts
Free Wi-Fi, free parking and an airport shuttle (at an extra charge). We accept cash and credit cards.
Care for the land
Water-efficient taps, toilets and showers, locally sourced food, and excess food donated rather than wasted.

We offer King Size Bed rooms for couples, Twin Bed rooms for friends and Triple Bed rooms for small families or groups. All rooms are en-suite.
